Main Business Areas

Airborne Systems

Aircraft and helicopter upgrade projects, advanced avionics, helmet-mounted systems, head-up displays, digital maps, mission computers, aerial reconnaissance systems and guided munitions systems.

Unmanned Aerial, Ground and Surface Vehicle Systems

A variety of systems for military and homeland security applications including the Hermes® family of UASs and the Skylark® man-packed Mini UAV Series. Elbit Systems is part of the Thales UK team selected for the British Army’s
WATCHKEEPER Program. The Company also offers Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), unmanned turrets and autonomous weapon systems, as well as Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs).

Land Systems

Armored vehicle upgrades, fire control systems, thermal imaging and laser systems, displays, electrical turret drives, overhead remote-control unmanned turret weapon systems. Command, control, communications, computers (C4I), including information and battle management systems and software-intensive C4I programs for various applications.  Selected to head-up the IDF’s Digital Army Program, Elbit Systems is integrating all land C4I applications and systems for this ground breaking program. Elbit Systems is a world leader in military communications equipment and systems.

Electro-optic Systems

Space cameras, specialized day and night sensors and payloads, thermal imaging systems, laser systems, reconnaissance and observation systems for airborne, land and naval applications.

Homeland Security

Comprehensive security systems and turnkey solutions for prevention, detection, deterrence and response, including various sensors, lasers, surveillance platforms and information technology programs.

Training and Simulators

Across-the-board systems engineering and integration expertise applied to air, ground and naval training and simulation solutions


A spectrum of services & logistic support, from maintenance to turnkey delivery of test facilities and complexes, including Private Finance Initiative (PFI) programs.

Elbit Systems of America (ESA) – the Company’s base of operations in the United States, ESA is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and also has subsidiaries and operations in New Hampshire, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia and Washington, D.C. ESA also has a 50% interest in Vision Systems International, based in California, a joint venture with Rockwell Collins.
Major Israeli Subsidiaries

Elbit Systems Electro-optics Elop Ltd. (El-Op) – a leader in advanced electro-optical products and systems for military and civilian use, El-Op’s business areas include thermal imaging products, lasers, IMINT solutions, head-up displays, integrated sights for ground forces, space and airborne reconnaissance systems and electro-optical homeland security and defense security systems.

The Elisra Group – in which Elbit Systems owns a 70% interest, specializes mainly in EW suites, airborne warning systems, ELINT systems, artillery C4I systems and data links for UAVs and guided munitions.

Elbit Systems has full or partial ownership in several additional subsidiaries both in and outside Israel.
