NetFires to Deploy PAM on the Littoral
Combat Ship |
|
NetFires will develop Non Line-of-Sight-Launch
System for the Navy Littoral Combat Ships under a US$54.8
million contract awarded by the U.S. Navy. The common vertical
launcher will be initially designed to store and fire the
Precision Attack Missile (PAM) and later, accept future missile
variants. The Non Line-of-Sight-Launch System has been selected
to be the premier engagement capability against surface threats
such as small moving boats deployed with the U.S. Navy's
Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) |

Boeing Announce First
International Delivery of Helmet Sights |
|
Boeing received orders from 10 international
customers, for the Joint Helmet-Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS).
The company announced today the first delivery of the advanced
helmet sights to equip Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18s. JHMCS
is developed by Vision Systems International, a joint venture
between Rockwell Collins and Elbit Systems. |

Aviation Introduce Multi-UAV Control System |

Proxy Aviation Systems, Inc unveiled at AUVSI today
the SkyForce Distributed Management System (DMS), designed to
control multiple unmanned air vehicles to achieve Group Tactical
Goals. The system will be able to control Proxy's new 4,000
pound SkyRaider, a fully autonomous, Optionally Piloted Vehicle
(OPV) designed for low- and medium- altitude missions, carrying
heavy-payloads and enabling the release of external stores. |

US Army, Marines Pursue a New Tactical
Vehicle Family |
|
The Office of Naval Research has selected General
Dynamics Land Systems to build Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV)
mock-up, and provide tradeoff analysis for the evaluation of
future development of such vehicles. The future family of
vehicles will comprise five armored versions, ranging from
infantry combat vehicles, command vehicles, reconnaissance, and
armored utility vehicles. Work is expected to be completed
during the first quarter of 2007. JLTV is expected to provide the
U.S. Army and Marine Corps with a family of more survivable
vehicles and greater payload than the
HMWWV. |

Lockheed Martin has completed flight demonstrations
of a new Mobile Commander’s Associate (MCA) system that will
enable U.S. Army command and control helicopters to form and
manage teams of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and manned
strike aircraft. |
